A writer, filmmaker and music composer, Raul did numerous recordings for films and soundtracks in Buenos Aires with some of the best musicians and arrangers in Argentina, such as Rodolfo Alchourrón, Cacho Girao, Enrique Berro, Jorge Demonte, Jorge Magliano, and others, before leaving for Canada.
In Toronto he has recorded sound tracks for film with sax player Ron Allen, flute virtuoso Jane Bunnett, Reggae pioneer guitarist Tony Campbell, percussionist Memo Acevedo, jazz pianist Marilyn Lerner, composer Enrique Gomez-Clas, Cuban-Mexican composer & guitarist Ramon Taranco,, his very own nephew and musician Rodrigo Briones and others.
In addition to performing in intimate spaces, Raul enjoyed playing for groups of children.
His fans are always wanting him to play the Caetano Veloso hit ‘cucurucucu paloma….’ which he does with pleasure, while enjoying a wide selection of different types of music and styles.
