Algunos de los poemas de este libro fueron publicados en diversas revistas literarias y antologías de Canadá, Estados Unidos, México y España. Pero lo cierto es que casi todos ellos estuvieron haciéndose por más de 15 años.
Uno ha cambiado. Las cosas han cambiado. Y si bien la lejana intención era la de “algún día” publicarlos, sin urgencia y sin apuro, hoy, siento la necesidad de hacerlo casi perentoriamente. Tal es así, que hubo demasiadas noches en que soñando con esa precisión de la vigilia, ví páginas enteras impresas sobre el papel y, lo que es peor, ¡me oí leyéndolas! Es hora de publicar, me dije, es hora de publicar.

Some of these poems were published in different literary magazines and anthologies in Canada, the United States, Mexico and Spain. But the truth of the matter is, that all of them have been “in the making” for more than 15 years.
One has changed. Things have changed.
And if at the beginning the intention was to publish them “someday” with no urgency or haste, now I feel the necessity of doing it almost peremptorily.
There were too many nights dreaming – in that precious reality of dreams-, with entire typed poems, and what’s worse, hearing myself reading them aloud! It is time to publish, I said to myself. It’s time to publish.

Nació en Buenos Aires, Argentina, donde estudió abogacía y filosofía y letras, carreras que cambió luego por la de dirección cinematográfica, graduándose en el Instituto Nacional de Cinematografía de Buenos Aires.
Desde 1980 vive en Toronto, Canadá, donde ha ganado por concurso, numerosas becas por sus trabajos literarios y cinematográficos. Entre sus films en inglés figuran: “Toronto Through Shape & Answer”, “View From A Portrait”, “Maggie M”, “Moses James, Boxer”, “Queen Street West”; y varios guiones para largometrajes, entre ellos: “Just For A Year”, “The Trick Of The Trade” (basado en un cuento de Henry James) y “Los Chimangos” .
En 1990 publica su primer libro “From the Ashen Land of the Virgin” en Canadá. También el mismo año aparece su cuento “Desde Un Retrato”, en Canadian Fiction Magazine, que más tarde fuera llevado al cine como largo metraje.
“The Bleeding Garden”/”El Sangrante Jardín” es su primer poemario. Y por haber ganado una beca del Canada Council, trabaja ahora en el segundo “La Seducción de los Hados”/”The Hades Seduction”.
En las recientes antologías en que figura podemos incluir: “Poetas Sin Fronteras”, Verbum Press, Madrid, España; “Latin American Writers In Canada”, Canadian Fiction Magazine; “Antología de Poesía Latinoamericana en Canada”, Split Quotation Press, Ottawa, Canadá.
Desde hace varios años colabora con diferentes diarios y revistas literarias en Canadá y otros países. Sus poemas, cuentos, ensayos, críticas y artículos han aparecido, entre otras publicaciones, en: “Montage Magazine” (Toronto) “Alba de América” (USA), “Idea Viva” (Buenos Aires, Argentina), “Vaso Comunicante” (México), “Diario El Litoral” (Sta. Fe, Argentina), “Alter Vox” (Canadá), “Canadian Fiction Magazine” (Toronto), “Quiebre” (Toronto), “Hispanos” (Toronto), “Papiro” (Buenos Aires), “Diario La Prensa” (Buenos Aires, Argentina), “Diario La Nueva Provincia” (Bahía Blanca, Argentina).
Sus próximos libros a publicarse son “Poniatowska Intima”, y la novela “Diario de Martín”.
He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he studied Law & Philosophy and Literature, then switched to Filmmaking, graduating from the Film Institute in Buenos Aires.
Since 1980 he lives in Toronto, where he has won numerous grants for his literary works and films. Among his films in English are: “Toronto Through Shape & Answer”, “View From A Portrait”, “Maggie M.”, “Moses James, Boxer”, “Queen Street West.” Among his screenplays: “Just For A Year”, “Reading Henry”, “The Chimangos.”
In 1990 his first book “From The Ashen Land Of The Virgin” was published in Canada. The same year Canadian Fiction Magazine published his short story “From A Portrait”,later made into a feature length film.
“The Bleeding Garden”/”El Sangrante Jardín” is his first book of poetry. With another grant from the Canada Council he is now working in his second: “The Hades Seduction”/”La Seducción de los Hados.”
